You are invited to travel from the Tower of Babel to a Zen Garden in Japan for a few minutes online to enjoy more moments of #freedom (peace of mind) offline.
I've lived and learned in both places. Now, I can and will share the block and key after cohesively changing my ways from keen observations, so your place in our human potential movement can be navigated wisely … while being more enjoyable and less longer!
In the tower, self-importance is an ongoing competition which pits people against each other; therefore they argue, push and shout just to be seen or heard, so they won’t have time or energy to imagine, dream or start a project or know when to ask for help.
In the garden, Ikigai harmoniously intersects four areas to start seeing, building and leading a life worth living. Ikigai is a loose map with many keys and a legend that each individual can fill in with their personal meanings and values. All of us are much happier when we have direction (self-guidance, not orders from others), purpose and/or reason for being. The truth is you can already start finding many reasons for being, when you are patient enough to look around without denial, regret or expectation; yet with observing eyes, open heart and clear head for whatever is in front of and around you. Start observing there.
Trying to be or appear more important than another human being is a losing battle and chips away at your soul and your playtime. When you choose to be directional or more purposeful in your own valuable way, whether for a moment or extended period of time; your choice will keep you from getting caught in other peoples agendas, directions or power plays. I invite you to embark on a walk toward your path to purpose today, starting with a direction; such as: Today I will ___<insert only 1 action>___. (For example: clean my room, take a walk or not say should).
Your purpose is a
decision that you make, direction you take, and devotion you stake.
And keeping to that devotion (promise) is the
only validation you need.
In closing, I hope you choose to become a phoenix (interested, interesting & tall bird), and not a peacock (aloof, perfect & flashy bird), by not playing any more silly tower games, so you can purposefully walk in the garden of … I'm possible. While tending to your possibility garden please remember change is a continual shaping, learning and perfecting process; lasting change is not about a perfect outcome. It’s about a promise to yourself.
Life is a teacher, and the best teachers provide us with tests, not grades. Sometimes a guiding light can help you see your path more clearly or quickly as four eyes lend a better view than two.
In these uncertain times, I invite you to play a game, Mission Possible, to ignite yourself privately and safely or join a movement to change your mindset or your lifestyle.
